Karlskrona

With a spot on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, Karlskrona is known as Sweden's only baroque city and is host to Sweden's only remaining naval base. Its strategic position on the Baltic Sea means investments in the port and other infrastructure provide a great springboard for international commerce.

Having been rated Sweden’s second best Digitalisation Municipality in 2017, the development taking place in Karlskrona speaks for itself. Karlskrona Baltic Port provides access to new markets and is helping the city develop as a tourist destination. The city has around fifty companies that develop mobile solutions and wireless services, some of them leaders in their field like Ericsson. As well as international companies in the manufacturing industry and naval defence operating side by side with smaller local companies.

Karlskrona

In order for Karlskrona to grow and get more residents, jobs and visitors, a clear vision of the future and roadmap was outlined in a broad dialogue with citizens, companies and associations in 2012. The basis of which forms Vision Karlskrona 2030 and is already well underway.
