The “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad welcomed students from all over Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Hungary for this year’s International Students' Conference StudMath-IT 2018.
The event, which took place from the 15-16 November, saw up to 31 works presented by students from all levels of higher education from BA to MA, to PhD in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science.
Having been organised by the “Aurel Vlaicu” University, a partner of Arad in the Digital Cities Challenge project, there was real interest in the digital and smart themes in the IT category.
The papers and presentations were judged by an international scientific committee with prizes and awards going to the best papers, which will also be published in a book edited by the University of Arad.
First place was given to the Proexplorer Application, an app created by Rebeca-Monica Pui and Rodriguez Ignacio that assists through digital methods the process of studying for students with special needs.
Arad City App, presented by Alexandru Popa earned the Special prize – Community and Development.
